Winona Lake, IN – November 27, 2014

Winona Lake Fire Department and Warsaw Fire Department, along with Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputies, are responding to a one-vehicle accident on Pierceton Road, east of CR 250E. Initial report is a one-vehicle accident with entrapment.

According to a report filed by the Winona Lake Police Department, at approximately 11:58 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 27, the driver was traveling on Pierceton Road when he swerved to avoid hitting an animal in the road. The vehicle exited the roadway, struck a tree and overturned.

Winona Lake Fire Department, with assistance from Warsaw Fire Department, extricated the driver from the vehicle. The driver was treated for complaints of pain to his head, arms and lower back. Damages are estimated up to $50,000.
