White City, OR - July 03, 2015
On Oregon 140 east of White City, a 69-year-old man, Carl T. Morrison, died after a rollover accident. Morrison was wearing his seatbelt and traveling westbound on the highway when police believe a bird flew into the window of his GMC pickup truck. The distraction likely caused Morrison to lose control of the vehicle.
The pickup rolled, and was found upside-down in a ditch. Oregon State Police were called to the scene at 2:20 p.m., with assistance from Lake Creek Fire, Jackson County Sheriff's Office, Mercy Flights and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
Emergency crews removed Morrison from the vehicle, and an air ambulance took him to a Medford-area hospital where he died.
