Two people were hurt when their car collided with another vehicle.
Brockville firefighters were the first to arrive at the scene shortly after 3 p.m. and they found one vehicle resting on top of the two parked cars, one of which was on its side, said Fire Captain Craig Mason.
Firefighters had to extricate the driver, a middle-aged woman, said Mason.
"We had to stabilize the whole scene before we were able to remove the patient," he added.
Firefighters used struts to keep the vehicles from toppling.
The Brockville crew handed command of the scene to Elizabethtown-Kitley firefighters, in whose township the long-term care facility is located.
Elizabethtown-Kitley Fire Chief Jim Donovan said the westbound driver's car apparently collided with another vehicle, which was headed east, in the neighbouring sewage plant driveway. It then continued into the Lodge lot.
Ontario Provincial Police Const. Sandra Barr had few details Friday morning, but said there were two victims, the driver and a passenger in the same vehicle. She did not believe their injuries were serious.
