-Noel Brennan, KUSA

Aurora Police suspect alcohol may have been involved in a rollover accident that sent three men to the hospital late Sunday night.

The accident happened just before midnight on North Chambers Road near East 23rd Avenue.

Police believe the driver of a Chevy Impala was headed northbound on Chambers when he lost control and rolled on the median.

The car hit some planter boxes and small trees, but stopped just short of a metal light pole.

An Aurora Police sergeant on scene told 9NEWS the fire department had to rescue three men trapped inside the Impala.

Crews propped up the car using metal [composite] support beams and cut through the roof of the vehicle to get to the men inside.

They were taken to University Hospital with unknown injuries.

Police blocked off two northbound lanes on Chambers while they investigated the accident.
