FEDERAL WAY, WA – August 2016

A collision involving a box truck, car and RV on Interstate 5 at Federal Way sent two people to the hospital. State troopers and medics rushed to the accident scene, at southbound I-5 near Enchanted Parkway after receiving reports of a serious crash involving three vehicles.

Officials said the motorhome smashed into the back of a red car, which in turn was shoved underneath the box truck where a fire broke out. The driver of the red car managed to get out of the wreckage, but a female passenger remained trapped inside, according to troopers. Crews had to extricate her after those drivers got the fire out, and she was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where she was listed in critical condition.
